County Opportunity Grants: More Information
Project Selection
Grant applications are reviewed by grants staff and forwarded to the seven-member County Parks Advisory Committee, where project sponsors are asked to make a presentation. The advisory committee makes a priority list and recommends awards to OPRD’s Director and the OPRD Commission.

Recent Awards
On January 11, 2007, the OPRD Commission approved the County Parks Assistance Advisory Committee recommendation and awarded $605,891 in County Opportunity Grants. On November 7, 2006, the committee prioritized 12 grant applications for funding based on local need/benefit, planning and public involvement, design (with emphasis on sustainability and accessibility), and funding sources.
