Fire restrictions in effect in some parks
Minam State Recreation Area - All fires, including campfires and charcoal barbecues, prohibited. Propane stoves are allowed.
Deschutes State Recreation Area - All fires prohibited. Charcoal and gas burning cook stoves are allowed for cooking purposes.
Prineville Reservoir - All fires prohibited. Charcoal and gas burning cook stoves are allowed for cooking purposes.
Viento State Park - All fires and charcoal barbecues prohibited in the south camp (B loop). Propane stoves allowed.

Alfred Loeb shower building closed
The shower building is closed until further notice. Campers may show their receipt from Loeb and shower at Harris Beach free of charge. Restrooms remain open.

Oswald West campground closing
The campground at Oswald West State Park is closed until further notice. Details are here. The day-use trails and beach access remain open.

Park status
Banks-Vernonia State Trail - The Tophill Trailhead north to Beaver Creek Trailhead is temporarily open pending permanent repairs. The trail from Stub Stewart State Park north to Tophill Trailhead and from Beaver Creek Trailhead north to Vernonia are also temporarily open. Please use caution near the temporary repairs. The trail from Banks to Stub Stewart State Park is open.
Saddle Mountain - Campground open Thursday evenings through Sunday afternoons. The trail remains closed.

Bridge construction adjacent to Beverly Beach State Park
The Oregon Department of Transportation is building the new Spencer Creek Bridge adjacent to the park. Some construction activities may cause loud noise during your stay at Beverly Beach. Work also may occur in the evenings and on Saturdays. The beach access trail may be closed for short periods. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. Work is scheduled to be finished in late 2008.
